Palestinian Group Claims Responsibility Attack on Israeli Army Post in Gaza

The Forces of the Martyr Omar al-Mukhtar claimed responsibility Sunday for an attack on Israeli post near Kfar Darum Jewish settlement in Khan Yunes, according to a statement faxed to Albawaba.com 

"A group from the Forces of the Martyr Omar al-Mukhtar Sunday morning attacked with explosive bombs a military position of the Zionist enemy Kfar Darum settlement, injuring a number of Israeli soldiers and causing severe damages," the group said in the statement. 

"Our forces were able to return to their bases safely," it said. 

The Jerusalem Post newspaper, quoting army radio, said that an explosive charge was detonated Sunday morning near Kfar Darom settlement in the Gaza Strip, but no one was injured. 

The paper added that only two Israeli vehicles were damaged – Albawaba.com
