Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf left Tuesday for a two-day visit to the Saudi Kingdom, state-run Pakistan television reported, cited by SPA news agency.

"During the visit, the president would apprise the Saudi leadership of the latest position in Pakistan-India relations and have discussions on developments in and around the Middle East, Afghanistan and bilateral matters," said Aziz Ahmed Khan, the spokesman for the Pakistani foreign office.

The two countries share "very close, brotherly relations," and high-level consultations are a matter of routine, he added. (Albawaba.com)
