Around 3,000 female activists of Pakistan's main fundamentalist party, Jamaat-i-Islami, Saturday held a rally here and vowed to defend Afghanistan if it is attacked by the United States.
"I brought my child with me and will go to jihad [holy war] if asked," said one of the women, Aisha Anwar, who carried a placard with a picture of Osama bin Laden.
The women chanted slogans including: "Osama, we are with you," "Down with US, down with Bush," and "Revolution, revolution, Islamic revolution."
"Afghanistan will become the graveyard for the United States, if they try to impose war," JI's secretary general Syed Munawar Hasan said -- KARACHI (AFP)
