ALBAWABA- A tragic helicopter crash took place in Pakistan's southeastern city of Balochistan, resulting in the loss of all three crew members' lives.
The Pakistani Navy disclosed that the crash, believed to be caused by a mechanical failure, occurred during a training mission in Quetta, located in the restive Balochistan province.
The aircraft, identified as a "Sea King," went down around 10:00 AM local time, engulfed in an engine fire, and losing its tail section, according to military sources.
The Navy spokesperson cited a probable technical fault for the incident, which claimed the lives of two officers and one enlisted member.
Balochistan, Pakistan's largest province, has witnessed a heightened military presence due to substantial Chinese investments, often attracting separatist insurgencies. This incident follows previous helicopter crashes in the region, highlighting ongoing safety concerns.
