ALBAWABA - The Pakistani army announced on Thursday the downing of 25 Israeli-made Harop drones fired by India, Alaraby TV reported.

The Pakistan Army said today that explosions were heard in several cities across Pakistan, including Lahore, Karachi, in addition to Sialkot.

Pakistan Army spokesperson Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry reportedly said that the blast sounds were due to Harop loitering munition drones, amid increasing tensions between the two countries.

On the other hand, the Indian government said that Pakistan launched missiles and drones overnight targeting New Delhi.

"Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets ... using drones and missiles," India's defence ministry revealed in a statement.
