ALBAWABA - Pakistan launched missiles and drones overnight targeting India, New Delhi authorities revealed, as reported by AFP.

According to the Indian government, New Delhi retaliated against the attack and attacked an air defence system in Lahore, causing damage.

"Pakistan attempted to engage a number of military targets ... using drones and missiles," India's defence ministry revealed in a statement.

The ministry maintained: "These were neutralised" by India's air defence systems.

India's government said that 13 people had been killed in fires carried out by the Pakistani army since Wednesday.

The government in New Delhi labeled the fire by Pakistan as a "ceasefire violations" along their de facto border amid escalated tension between the two countries following the April 22 deadly attack in India-administered Kashmir.
