The Palestinians Authority said Sunday it would pay "reparations" to Palestinians employed in Israel before the current closure on the territories went into effect, reported the Jerusalem Post.
The paper said that the PA said several tens of thousands of Palestinians would be paid several hundred shekels to each unemployed Palestinians.
The PA said the individuals would have to provide documentation proving employment in Israel up to the beginning of the closure, the daily added.
Palestinian officials have said that there are about 120,000 workers who lost their jobs in Israel after the Intifada. They said that a monthly allowance of $200 would be paid per worker – Albawaba.com
