A total of 2,762,305 Moroccan children aged below five were immunized against polio during the 14th nationwide immunization days staged October 14 through 18, Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) reported Saturday, quoting the health ministry.
According to MAP, the operation also covered 230,900 babies aged below one year who were immunized against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, tuberculosis and measles.
A total of 4,700 teams were mobilized, comprising 16,700 persons, 2,200 vehicles operating in 22,000 immunization points, the agency said, adding a total of 988,260 women in procreating age were given vaccines against tetanus --Albawaba.com
