Outgoing UAE ambassador in Abu Dhabi, Mohammed Ahmed Al Mahmoud, said relation between Egypt and UAE have become a “model”, in a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Maher.
Mahmoud expressed his gratitude to Egyptian officials for the cooperation they extended to him during his tenure in Egypt, reported the official Emirati news agency (WAM).
He said that the relations between the UAE and Egypt have become a model thanks to the strong personal ties between the two leaders, President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan and President Hosni Mubarak.
Mubarak visited Abu Dhabi in May, during a Gulf tour what also took him to Saudi Arabia – Albawaba.com
