OPEC ministers have called a special meeting in Vienna on January 17, Qatar oil minister Abdullah al-Attiyah said Sunday amid fears of an impending oil glut.
"We are giving ourselves more time until January to see how the market reacts," he told journalists outside informal talks among ministers of the 11-nation Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
OPEC ministers have said they are worried about crude oil oversupply leading to a dramatic price fall early next year. The January meeting would allow them to monitor winter demand – VIENNA (AFP)
