Private companies and establishments in the Sultanate of Oman will remain closed on the 1st day of Muharram 1425 A.H. following the verification conformation of Muharram moon-sighting by the relevant authorities, on the occasion of the holy Prophet Mohammed Hijrah (PBUH) and the advent of the new Hijrah year, according to a decision issued today by Juma'ah bin Ali bin Juma'ah, Manpower Minister.
The decision allowed employers and employees to agree on work during the holiday if needs arises.
