Oman announced Saturday the discovery of a major natural gas field in Al Dakhiliyah region, reported the Omani News Agency (ONA), quoting a statement as saying.
The discovery was conducted by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), said the agency.
“The well, Kauther-1, was drilled as part of the gas exploration program that PDO is carrying out on behalf of the ministry of oil and gas,” DPO said.
The Kauther field is the largest gas field discovered in Oman in the last six years, said ONA -- Albawaba.com
