Norway has pledged 10 million dollars to the Palestinians to finance electricity supply in villages in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, an official source said Monday.
Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat attended a ceremony where an agreement was signed between Palestinian housing minister Abdel Rahman Hamad and Geir Pedersen, Norway's representative to the Palestinian Authority.
Hamad, also head of the Palestinians' electrical authority, said Norway has now pledged a total of 60 million dollars in five separate agreements to bring electricity to the Palestinian territories -- GAZA CITY (AFP)
