ALBAWABA- A series of American airstrikes destroyed the Al-Habashi Iron Factory in the Al-Salif District of Hodeida Governorate, as the U.S. intensified its military campaign against Yemen’s Houthis.
The U.S. State Department reaffirmed that strikes would continue until Houthi forces cease attacks on commercial and military vessels.
The Pentagon stated that the airstrikes in Yemen are not an indefinite campaign and are not intended to overthrow the regime.
However, it emphasized that the U.S. will continue using overwhelming force until its objectives are met.
“President Trump has sent an unambiguous message through these strikes—the Houthis must stop,” a State Department official stated.
The Pentagon detailed the scale of the operation, revealing that the first wave of strikes targeted over 30 Houthi sites, including training camps, drone infrastructure, weapons manufacturing facilities, and command centers.
U.S. officials confirmed the elimination of several Houthi leaders and estimated dozens of Houthi military casualties.
The Pentagon stressed that American forces would continue using overwhelming force but clarified that there were no plans to deploy ground troops in Yemen.
In response, Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi declared that his forces had forced a U.S. aircraft carrier to retreat 1,300 km north in the Red Sea.
He warned that continued American aggression would prompt further escalations, vowing, “We have more painful and disturbing options.”
He emphasized that Yemen’s operations were in solidarity with the Palestinian people, stating that blocking Israeli ships from navigation was only a first step.
Notably, Yemen’s Houthis retaliated against U.S. strikes by launching dozens of ballistic missiles and drones at the USS Truman and other American military vessels in the Red Sea, further escalating the regional conflict.
