New tropical storm threatens the Caribbean

The season’s 21st tropical storm is reportedly building strength over the Caribbean. The storm, labeled “Wilma,” currently threatens the Cayman Islands and had raised fears of another weather disaster may be on its way.

 

The National Hurricane Centre named placed Wilma at 280km south-east of Grand Cayman, with of up to winds 65km/h.

 

As a result a tropical storm warning has been in effect throughout the area, according to the <i>AFP</i>.

 

The storm may reach hurricane status over the next few days according to the National Hurricane Centre.
