Egyptian director Saleh Al Sharif has just started filming his latest TV series, a controversial film about the changes within the Egyptian middle class during the last couple of years entitled Arjouk La Tada’ani Wahdi (Please Don’t Leave Me Alone).
According to Al Jumhuriah newspaper, the series, starring Sawsan Badr, talks about a bunch of teens who live unstable lives that are filled with both social and economical contradictions.
As usual, money is depicted as an evil temptation which leads only to disaster; in this case, a family is torn apart.
Meanwhile, while the Generation Y and X’ers are depicted as money hungry confused children; the 70’s generation is the exact opposite.
Those who fought corruption and were not lead into temptation were born in the 1970’s, according to the series.
Please Don’t…, was written by Adel Abdel Khaleq and also stars Jamal Ismael, Hassan Al Sharbani, Zizi Al Badrawi and Riyadh Al Khawli. – Albawaba.com.
