Afshar Soleymani Mola-Yousef has been appointed Iran's new ambassador to Azerbaijan, it was announced in Tehran
Wednesday.
The appointment was made upon a proposal of Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi which was approved by President Mohammad Khatami, IRNA reported.
Mola-Yousef served as Iran`s charge d`affaires to Azerbaijan and Ukraine and was one time head of the first bureau of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) at the Iranian Foreign Ministry prior to his appointment. (Albawaba.com)
