ALBAWABA- A series of new explosions rocked Iran’s Shahid Rajaee Port in Bandar Abbas on Sunday, reigniting a massive fire and complicating ongoing firefighting efforts, Fars News Agency reported.

The Iranian Customs Authority clarified that export containers damaged in the blasts were carrying tar and paraffin, while containers of imported goods included chemicals.
Dismissing earlier speculation, a spokesperson for Iran’s Defense Ministry stated that no military-use cargo was present among the affected shipments. "There were no military-use shipments at Rajaee Port," the spokesperson confirmed on state television.
Earlier today, authorities announced that the death toll from the explosion had climbed to 25. The head of the Hormozgan provincial judiciary said the remains of 10 victims—two women and eight men—had been identified so far.
Efforts to fully extinguish the blaze have been hampered by the renewed explosions, with emergency teams struggling to bring the situation under control.
Video footage circulating on social media showed towering flames and thick plumes of smoke engulfing parts of the port, which plays a critical role in Iran’s trade infrastructure.
