ALBAWABA- Speaking in the opening session of the 25th Knesset, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu outlined his long-term strategy to dismantle what he referred to as the "axis of evil," aiming to neutralize threats in both the north and south.
He emphasized that the challenge Israel faces extends beyond the region, threatening the Middle East and the world. Netanyahu accused Iran of pursuing nuclear weapons intended for Israel’s destruction and supplying proxies with dangerous arms.
Netanyahu argued that if Israel fell, global security would be at risk. He reiterated his government’s commitment to an uncompromising military campaign, which he claimed has already dismantled key components of Hamas's infrastructure and struck dozens of military targets in Iran, including defense systems and missile sites.
He credited Israel's allies, especially the United States, for their support, while maintaining that Israel makes its own decisions to secure its future.
He drew parallels between the current conflict and Israel's War of Independence, asserting that Israel is combating multiple adversaries.
Netanyahu expressed a vision for a future Middle East with a diminished Iranian influence and voiced his ongoing efforts to forge peace agreements with additional Arab nations under the framework of the Abraham Accords.
