ALBAWABA - Netanyahu has proposed for rebranding "Operation Iron Swords" to the "War of Resurrection," claiming Israel is fighting an existential war. At a special cabinet meeting on Monday to commemorate last year's October 7 incident, Netanyahu called it a "crucial moment" for the nation's future.
At the opening of the "special mourning session," Netanyahu formally requested to rename the war, saying, "We are not only conducting a military operation. The War of Resurrection is a survival struggle. The protection of our children, our future, and the prevention of October 7 incidents are our goals."
After seeing the Israeli Defense Ministry's reaction to the "Al-Aqsa Flood," Netanyahu said, "This is not skirmishes. We are at war. In reaction to our harshness, the adversary will pay a price never before witnessed. We shall win this existential conflict."
Netanyahu claims Israel has fought seven fronts since October 7. He stressed that Israel's counteroffensive against Iranian-aligned opponents is crucial to its future and security.
Netanyahu said that Israel's military action would stop when many goals are met. These include the end of Hamas authority in Gaza, the safe return of hostages, the neutralizing of future Gaza threats, and the repatriation of southern and northern regional refugees.
The prime minister also called the "Al-Aqsa Flood" attack the worst on Jews since the Holocaust. He said, "This time, unlike the Holocaust, we fought back and responded with a fierce and determined war."
