The chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Richard Myers started on Thursday a two- day visit to Jordan within his regional tour that took him to
Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia.
Myers told reporters that his visit to Jordan aims at looking into training of Iraqi special forces and security personnel in Jordan. According to Petra, he also expressed appreciation for Jordan over its role in achieving stability in Iraq through training Iraqi security and army forces, pointing to Jordanian field hospitals, which were sent to Iraq and Afghanistan.
