Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Sultan Qaboos of Oman discussed on Monday the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, said Al Ahram daily.
The sultan arrived in Egypt, the second leg of a tour that will also take him to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Talks between the two leaders were in the “framework of consolations and contacts made by Mubarak to save the peace process and put an end to the deteriorating situation in the Palestinian lands,” said the paper.
Talks also focused on increasing trade level between the two countries, it said – Albawaba.com
