MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) has launched an Educational Assistance Program aimed at developing career potential in high-performing employees.
The first group of four employees were recently selected to be sponsored to undertake higher education studies at several of the Kingdom’s universities. MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)’s investment in the program is the latest step in the company’s ongoing commitment to the development of its employees and supports its aim to become an employer of choice.
MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)’s human resource strategy is designed to ensure the recognition and reward of employees dedication and enterprise with tangible benefits. The innovative telecoms provider encourages its employees to aim for excellence in performance as a means to further career opportunities.
MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Ahmed Alshatti, said: “Strategic human resource planning can motivate employees to become the architects of their own career plans. The Educational Assistance Program is a proven means of both attracting new employees and maintaining a high level of commitment in existing employees as it supports staff who show strong potential.”
The employees participating in the program will go on to complete an MBA or BSc. Selection is based on outstanding performance demonstrated by the employees in the implementation of all aspects of their roles and responsibilities during two years or more of employment. The employees are Ali Rahimi, Product Innovation Specialist; Mutaz Qadan, Business Analyst; Ghada Al Noaimi, Sales Agent; and Hussain Al Awadhi, Customer Services Team Leader.
The employees who will benefit from the scholarship confirmed that the opportunity will help to develop potential with the reassurance of MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain)’s recognition and support. All four are looking forward to completing respective studies and using the knowledge gained to further their careers.
