Morocco signed a partnership agreement with the EU on satellite navigation system Galileo on Tuesday November 8. <i>Le Matin</i> reports that the agreement envisages industrial and scientific cooperation between Morocco and the EU countries as well as the development of specific Galileo applications in Morocco. The agreement will later be submitted to the EU’s Transport Council in December 2005 for formal approval by the EU Member States.
Europe's satellite radio navigation program Galileo was launched with the initiative of the European Commission. Galileo program is based on a constellation of 30 satellites and ground stations.
