ALBAWABA - An unidentified vigilante, dubbed "Mexican Batman," recently went viral after taking matters into his own hands and arresting more than five alleged motorcycle thieves in Jalisco, and taping them to lampposts.

Photos flooding social media show the alleged suspects tied to lampposts using duct tape alongside the stolen motorcycles as a receipt for retrieval. Several had their mouths taped and written on, while others showed signs of being beaten up. According to local media, "Mexican Batman" began targeting motorcycle thieves after being frustrated with the state's law enforcement.

Internet reports claim that the suspects allegedly received medical treatment following the incident. Moreover, authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the unnamed vigilante, sparking debate on social media about whether the action is being carried out by a single individual or an entire group fixated on making their town a safer place for locals.

His heroic actions received praise from both social media and local residents, who also dubbed him "Lagos de Moreno's Batman."

Journalist Mario Nawfal wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "He's not the hero Lagos deserves, but he's the one with tape and free time."
