Morocco Signs Fishery Cooperation Agreement with FAO

Morocco and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) signed Tuesday a cooperation agreement in the sector of fisheries, Maghrib Agency Press (MAP) reported. 

According to the agency, the accord, part of technical cooperation between the two sides will promote fisheries in member countries and boost the activities of the “Info-Fish” regional information center for wider marketing of sea-products in Arab countries. 

The Center, in which Morocco, Mauritania, Algeria, Bahrain, The Sudan, Tunisia, Syria and Yemen are members, seeks to develop marketing data and services, control quality, operate a data-bank and train marketing staff, MAP added -- Albawaba.com
