In a declaration, jointly issued in Mexico City, by the Moroccan Minister of Culture, Mohamed Achaari, and the president of the Mexican National Council for Culture and Arts (Concaculta), Bermudez Sari, the two expressed their wish to work together for the reinforcement of the bilateral cooperation between the two sides in the field of culture.
<i>Le Matin</i> reports that in order to implement this declaration the two ministers agreed to initiate cultural meetings in Morocco and Mexico and to promote exchange of visits by writers, creators, and artistic groups, as well as specialists and researchers in the fields of art and culture. The two ministers have also agreed to promote the translation and co-edition of literary productions, to strengthen their co-operation in the cinematographic field, to increase their exchanges of radio and television programs, for educational and cultural ends, and to fight together against the illicit traffic of cultural goods.
