The UN General Assembly elected Morocco to the United Nations' Commission of international trade law for a six-year term as of June 25, 2001, the Weekly News Magazine reported.
The Commission, set up in 1966, is devoted to progressive harmonization and standardization of international trade legislation. It is made up of 36 member-states according to an equitable geographic repartition where major economic and legal systems of the world are represented, the Moroccan paper said -- Albawaba.com
