Moroccans win Rafael Alberti and Eduardo Mendoza Prizes

Two Moroccans, Yassir Hamout and Abdelkader Ben Abdellatif, were chosen to receive the "Rafael Alberti" prize of poetry and the "Eduardo Mendoza" prize of news, respectively.

The prize awarding ceremony, which will be held on Tuesday, June 28, is organized by the education council of the Spanish embassy in Rabat. EMarrakech reports that apart from the financial reward included in the prize, Hamout and Ben Abdellatif will also get to have their work published in the cultural review "Aljamia", which is published by the Spanish council of education.
