Moroccan teachers are preparing for a two-day strike to protest against their low salaries and poor working conditions.
The general strike, which was called by two Moroccan trade unions, will “press the government to respect its commitments” to raise teachers’ salaries, Morocco’s official news agency (MAP) reported.
The national teachers union, affiliated to the Confédération Démocratique du Travail (CDT), called on teachers to stage sit-ins on November 13 and 14 in front of the offices of the ministries of education and finance in all the cities of the kingdom, MAP said.
