More than one million people in Israel are living below the poverty line in Israel this year, reported the Jerusalem Post newspaper, quoting Labor and Welfare Minister Ra'anan Cohen as saying on Tuesday.
He said that 440,000 of them were children.
According to the minister, the poorest city in the country is Jerusalem.
