ALBAWABA - Mohammad Sarur, the Lebanese man who the United States accused of allegedly funnelling money from Iran to Hamas, has been killed in Lebanon, a few kilometers away from Beirut, AFP reported citing a security source on Wednesday.

AFP report also adds that the body of Sarur was discovered Tuesday in a villa in the mountain town of Beit Mery.

The security source didn't reveal its identity as they were not authorised to speak to the media about the death of the Lebanese man who was sanctioned by the US for allegedly facilitating transferring money between Iran and the resistance group in Gaza.

The report revealed that Mohammad Sarur was hit by over five bullets and was found in possession of an undisclosed sum of money that the killers didn't steal, the source added.
