ALBAWABA - Lebanese authorities have issued a warrant demanding the arrest of major Lebanese banker and financier Antoun Sehnaoui after he was seen having dinner with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu while the two countries are at war.

Lebanese public prosecutor and judge Ahmad Rami has issued a 30-day wanted notice for Sehnaoui "on charges of dealing with the Israeli enemy and violating Lebanon's boycott law against Israel" as laws in Lebanon forbid dealing with Israel or normalizing relations with it.
After images of Sehnaoui sitting at the same table with Netanyahu went viral, Lebanese lawyer Wassef El-Harakeh lodged a personal complaint against him for "dealing with the enemy" demanding a "serious, transparent judicial investigation, free of any political, financial or clientelist immunity".
The prosecutor is to examine the matter and decide whether to refer it to the military court as the move has caused controversy in Lebanon as Israeli strikes have not ceased to hit the country.
