As part of MobileCom's commitment to customers in ensuring continuous improvement of services and competitive offers, the GSM operator has announced that it will lower international tariffs on its pay-as-you-go offers and monthly subscriptions with designating and unified tariffs for peak and off peak hours, which means that Jordan Telecom's rates in addition to tariffs will not be used anymore.
Ghossein said: “MobileCom’s latest line-up of offers, which includes lower tariffs on international calls, aims at providing all customers with superior services at highly competitive rates. Our international tariff system has been simplified by unifying all operating costs with the real end benefit being for our customers. Customers now only need to consider whether or not they are calling during peak or during off peak hours.’
In changing to this unified regime, MobileCom has also re-introduced its attractive pay-as-you-go offer for tourists, enabling current and new customers to make low tariff calls to any country of their choosing plus two pre-identified numbers within the MobileCom or Jordan Telecom network, and at a fixed rate. This tariff offer is considered to be the most competitive in the Jordanian Market.
In summarizing MobileCom’s new tourist offer, Ghossein said: “This offer has great benefits for visitors and residents alike, as it provides them with low rate, flexible and highly competitive call service, in addition to our high quality network which is recognized as the most efficient and stable network in Jordan. Moreover, our tariff system on tourist offers is very clear and easy to comprehend, as call times are grouped in peak and off peak hours for international calls and a flat rate for local calls. In addition, on buying this line for 17JOD each customer gets 17JOD worth of free credit.”
Ghossein added: “The cost of each minute on calls made to chosen MobileCom or Jordan Telecom numbers will be 4.5 Jordanian Piasters at all times. Whereas, rates of international calls depend on the chosen code number. For instance, calls made to Saudi Arabia and Egypt are as low as 19 Piasters at off peak hours and 23 Piasters on peak hours.”
Rates of calls made to all other numbers from MobileCom, Jordan Telecom and other mobile operators is flat rate of 14 Piasters per minute at all times. While rates of international calls made to a code number other than that chosen or pre-identified by the customer will still be highly competitive: as an example – Saudi Arabia or Egypt - 30 Piasters on peak hours and 26 Piasters at off peak hours.
“To welcome the summer season and our many transient guests to Jordan, I believe MobileCom has today introduced a series of highly competitive offers and we will continue introduce a wide selection of versatile offers throughout the summer,” Ghossein concluded.
