UAE based light construction equipment distributor: Ahmed Ramadhan Juma Est. (ARJ) has helped Japanese light construction equipment manufacturer Mikasa Sangyo Co Ltd to increase the sales of its light construction equipment, by 745 percent on last year in the first nine months of 2007.
ARJ is launching Mikasa Special Plate Compactor for Pavement / Interlock Compaction and also High Frequency / Cycle Poker Vibrator Needle, Invertors at the upcoming exhibition BIG 5 PMV.
Special plate compactor MVB-85 has been designed for pavement / interlock compaction.
Featuring an operating weight of 90 kg, this offers 10 kN centrifugal force and 93 Hz amplitude. The plate size (Rubber Roll) size is 320 mm length and 73 mm diameter.
Equipped with a Robin petrol engine operating with 3.5 HP (2.6 kW), MVB-85 model also feature strong protecting engine frame with one lifting point.
At BIG 5 PMV, ARJ and Mikasa are also launching FX series High Frequency Poker Vibrator Needle and FU /FV series Invertors.
The customer will have four options to choose from Vibration head diameter: 32 / 43 / 52 / 61 mm. 15 meter cable length and 6 meter hose length will be standard.
For invertors, two different options (1-phase/100 volts, 3-ph/380 volts) will be available to give power to these high cycle / frequency concrete vibrator.

Last year, ARJ has launched the complete range of Mikasa Light Construction Equipments including Mikasa Pedestrian Duplex Walk-behind Roller Compactor: Model MRH-700.

MRH-700 has been designed for pavement compaction or interlock compaction. MRH-700 has been designed for compaction on both soil and asphalt.
Featuring an operating weight of 730 kg, this offers an impressive 23.5 kN centrifugal force, 5.62 kg/cm static linear load and 55 Hz amplitude.
Equipped with a Yanmar (made in Japan) diesel engine operating with 10 hp (7.4 kW), which provides the high engine power needed to ensure reliability in UAE’s hot working conditions where temperatures often exceed 40ºC.
Similarly, the MRH-700 is the only ‘walk-behind’ roller available in UAE market fitted with Accident Safety Bumpers, Working Light, Both Electric Start and Manual Start, and 10 HP diesel engine, once again to meet the region’s high temperatures; ensuring a longer life for the hydraulic pump, motor, reducing the maintenance cost, and lowering the total cost of roller.
The MRH-700 model also feature strong protecting engine frame with one lifting point, ergonomic, long and easy to fold up handle. This allows easy manoeuvre and simplifies the transportation.
From a workers safety and comfort prospective, the roller has dead-man’s handle and available with both Electric (Key) and Manual start.
“For the nine months ended Sept 30, 2007, the Mikasa’s sales increased by 745 % to 972 units, from 115 units for the same period in 2006,” stated Vipin Tak, Sales Manager. “The Company expects the same sales trend to continue as a result of its new product introductions and intense sales activity in Abu Dhabi,” continued Vipin.
