Having invested AED 140,000 in Dubai Bank's Kunooz Account for over a year, 24-year-old Mariam Al Darmaki had almost given up hope of winning the coveted millionaire draw. Consequently, when the Sharjah resident was recently contacted by Dubai Bank, the last thing she was expecting was to be informed that she had just been chosen as the Kunooz millionaire for the month of December 2009.
"I assumed that winners were usually chosen from among those who had recently invested," Al Darmaki confesses. For every multiple of AED 5,000 deposited, account holders become eligible for entry into the monthly grand prize draw of AED 1 million. The programme also offers participants the possibility to win more than once.
