Winning two of the major awards against stiff competition at the first annual MEP Middle East Awards has capped off a great year for Drake & Scull International, according to Tawfiq Abu Soud, Director of Business Development, Drake & Scull.
The company took out the MEP Contractor of the Year and the Medium MEP Project of the Year titles at the Grosvenor House awards ceremony last week and Mr Abu Soud says it reflects the high level of commitment that Drake & Scull has given clients during the year.
“To be named as MEP Contractor of the Year by the highly experienced independent panel of judges was a real honour that is shared by the whole team at Drake & Scull.
The MEP Contractor of the Year title is awarded to the company that has proven to have delivered high class MEP projects during the year. Examples of time and cost savings achieved plus technical innovations and working practices were key factors considered by the judges.
The Medium MEP Project of the Year title was for projects between $US15 million and $US 35 million and also focused on innovation.
“We are particularly pleased that the Kuwait State Audit Bureau project took out the Medium MEP title, because it showcases innovative new air conditioning technology that Drake & Scull is among the first to introduce into the Middle East.”
Mr Abu Soud said the award wins come at a time of peak activity for Drake & Scull. It recently signed its first contract in Sudan and has been expanding its activities in Egypt as well as across the GCC.
