The Summit is hosting discussions on the state and future of Middle East Information Technology (IT) among the region’s top CIOs; while Injazat Data System’s CIO Kenny Wilson will deliver a key speech on how IT outsourcing is a business enabler

Organized by IDC, the leading global market intelligence firm for the information, communications and consumer technology markets, the event will gather CIOs from the region to discuss their evolving roles, and network with peers; exploring the direction of the information systems outsourcing industry, which is estimated to have achieved AED 355 billion globally and will pass AED 434 billion by 2011.

Kenny Wilson,CIO, Injazat Data Systems said: “Today’s CIOs face challenges while ensuring that IT is aligned with business objectives. Strategies such as outsourcing non core functions can ensure CIOs focus on more critical business activities while controlling operational costs. This Summit provides CIOs with the opportunity to benchmark their management strategies; discover industry trends, and projections from regional and global perspectives; and hear the experiences and best practices of industry leaders.”

According to IDC, Injazat Data Systems posted a solid year-on-year growth of 68 per cent in 2006 and is leading the information system outsourcing, hosted application management, and information system consulting markets. Injazat attributes its huge success to increasing regional demand for IT services and a robust regional economy which has positioned outsourcing as a competitive strategy for leading organizations.

“ Consolidated IT Systems, managing costs, staffing, and pace of technology trends are key challenges facing CIOs and outsourcing is becoming a strategic enabler to overcome these challenges.” Said Kenny Wilson “Quality outsourcing services delivered by local resources are essential considerations when selecting an outsourcing partner.” concluded Wilson
