ALBAWABA- A powerful explosion recently reverberated through the capital, Sana'a, resonating across large areas of the city. Residents nearby report that the blast emanated from Mount Attan, accompanied by visible smoke plumes at the blast site.

According to Houthi officials and the Head of Sheba News Agency, the explosion resulted from the controlled detonation of remnants from past aggression. Nearby dry trees caught fire, generating smoke visible from a distance.

Xinhua news agency's sources reported that the explosion in Faj Attan mountain occurred in a military zone, safely distanced from civilians—the blast, attributed to a military experiment, involved testing new weaponry. Fortunately, the experiment incurred no human or material losses.

Despite official statements, social media buzzes with videos depicting significant smoke and flames atop Mount Attan.

Speculation on social media suggests a potential missile attack, with some activists implicating Israeli or American warships, given the absence of audible warplane sounds.

In contrast, N 12 News contends that the substantial explosion originated from a Houthi weapons depot in Yemen, pointing to an alleged air strike as the cause.
