Maritime confrontation off Yemeni coast: ship engages gunmen near Nishtun port

While the Houthis have not officially commented on the incident, they were likely responsible, given their recent attacks on vessels heading to Israel in solidarity with Gaza since October 19th.

ALBAWABA- The British Maritime Authority reported a battle between a ship and gunmen on a boat southeast of the Yemeni port of Nishtun in Al Mahra governorate, according to a statement released today. 

While the Houthis have not officially commented on the incident, they were likely responsible, given their recent attacks on vessels heading to Israel in solidarity with Gaza since October 19th. 

Moreover, Houthis have targeted US and UK warships in the Red Sea, Arab Sea, and Indian Ocean in response to airstrikes conducted by the US and UK against Yemen.
