Management Guru Professor Gary Hamel is set to open proceedings for the third Middle East HR Summit to be held from 17th – 20th September 2006. The conference, the largest and most comprehensive event of its kind in the region, will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Dubai.

Professor Hamel, labelled "the world’s reigning strategy guru" by The Economist and  considered one of the world’s foremost authorities on strategic business management, will open with a progressive workshop on ‘Reinventing Management - The Why, What and How of Management Innovation’. This opening seminar will serve as a primer not only for HR professionals, but also the region’s business leaders on change management, innovation and raising returns on human capital.

Professor Hamel leads a distinguished speaker line-up of more than 50 experts from the HR community, who will address participants at the four-day event. “The Middle East HR summit is a calendar event, facilitating debate and discussion on pertinent issues affecting international and regional HR practice and is a powerful platform to network with peers and exchange industry best practice. We are always looking to present a high quality of speakers combined with well thought out presentations at this definitive HR event, and 2006 will see us expand our remit with the likes of Professor Hamel and other thought leaders in Human Resources,” said Jackie Wilks, Summit Director of IIR Middle East.

Organised by IIR Middle East, the summit features over 30 information-packed sessions, three streamed sessions and four intensive post-summit workshops in addition to the HR Excellence Awards ceremony and Gala Dinner. Running parallel to the summit is an exhibition featuring services and products from regional and international HR service providers.
