Famous Egyptian director Mahmoud Himeida is suffering both physical and mental pain from his latest movie Janat Al Shayateen (Devils’ Paradise).
In an interview with the Middle East News Agency, the director said that, aside from loosing 2 million Egyptian Pounds, he had to undergo mild but painful surgery in order to retrieve his original appearance.
The director, who also stars in the movie, had tied up his teeth and changed his jaw line in order to fit the appearance of his dead character in the movie.
According to MENA, Himeida, who was addressing an audience at the Mena area in Egypt, said that although he suffered losses, the experience was a great and valuable one. The film gained international acclaim winning awards in Carthage, Moscow, Istanbul and Syria.
