Libya counts over 2,500 victims as storm Daniel's devastation unfolds

over 1,500 bodies of victims have been discovered, while the number of missing individuals has risen to a staggering 7,000 in Darnah due to the catastrophic flooding.

ALBAWABA- The devastating impact of the Daniel storm in Libya has left more than 2,500 people dead, with grim reports emerging from various regions.

Libyan Prime Minister Osama Hammad revealed that the death toll in the city of Darnah alone has surpassed 2,000, highlighting entire neighborhoods that have been engulfed by the sea, along with thousands of their residents. 

Libyan Interior Minister Issam Abu Zariba explained that the sudden dam collapses resulted in the complete destruction of a neighborhood in Darnah, with severe damage caused by the floods. 

Additionally, over 1,500 bodies of victims have been discovered, while the number of missing individuals has risen to a staggering 7,000 in Darnah due to the catastrophic flooding.
