LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in the flat panel display and audio-video devices market is proud to announce the launch of the LX9500, the world’s first Full LED 3D TV. Delivering a picture of outstanding clarity and brightness on LG's innovative INFINIA design, the LX9500 – a two-time awardee at this year’s CES and a winner of the reddot design award 2010 – invites viewers into an entirely new world of 3D TV viewing.
The LX9500 is introduced by INFINIA full LED slim showcasing 3D technology for the first time in the Middle East. INFINIA full LED Slim with Active 3D technology has unique worldwide and outstanding features that allow the best 3D viewing experience.

The LX9500 employs shutter glasses-type 3D technology, with glasses that add depth to an image by blocking one lens then the other in sync with the screen's refresh rate. The LX9500 is also the only 3D TV with dual IR emitter, which sends signals syncing the lenses with the TV. Having dual emitters ensure that consumers can watch 3D contents with a wider viewing angle and from a longer distance. The glasses are comfortable enough to wear for an extended period of time and can be recharged via a USB for up to 40 hours of uninterrupted viewing pleasure.

As the world’s first Full LED 3D TV, the LX9500 uses an innovative backlight structure to deliver its remarkable picture. Illuminated by panels of LEDs directly behind the screen, the Full LED display provides images of exceptional brightness and clarity. With TruMotion 400Hz reducing image cross-talk and a picture further enriched by a 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, the LX9500’s mesmerizing 3D transports viewers right to the heart of the action without any headaches or dizziness as in the theatre.

As with all its features, the LX9500’s award-winning INFINIA design is geared toward creating the ultimate 3D experience. Slim and sleek, the LX9500 boasts a depth of just 22.3mm, and a 16mm super-narrow bezel that allows for a more expansive picture and 3D images that practically burst out of the screen. In recognition of its unparalleled design, the LX9500 this year won a reddot design award, one of the world’s top three design awards and a globally accepted standard for the very best in product design.

“Thanks to its superb picture quality, the LX9500 offers a 3D experience like no other, where instead of just watching scenes, you can actually be part of them,” said Simon Kang, CEO and President of LG Home Entertainment Company. “Through advanced features such as Full LED and INFINIA design, LG is already pushing the technological boundaries for 3D. Along with our 3D Blu-ray disk player and 3D home projector, LG is well placed to become a true global leader in 3D home entertainment.”

“As part of LG’s position as a global leader in technology, LG introduces this one of its kind full LED Slim 3D and will soon be launching the INFINIA full LED slim TV line-up with distinctive features that deliver the best 3D viewing experience” said the Managing Director at LG Electronics Levant, Mr. Kevin Cha.

Delivering unbeatable levels of entertainment, the LX9500 also displays regular programming and content in high-definition 2D, which is further enhanced by localized Spot Control for the ultimate in picture quality. In addition, the LX9500 offers video call function on Skype™ while NetCast™ provides instant streaming, via a broadband connection, of virtually limitless online videos, movies and web albums. In another first for the industry, the LX9500 supports the Multi Picture Format (MPF), the world standard for 3D pictures, which enables user-created 3D content to be enjoyed on-screen without the need of a PC.
