ALBAWABA - In a heartbreaking incident in Gaza, a 13-year-old Palestinian girl, Dania Abu Mahsen, who had already suffered the loss of her family and a leg in a previous Israeli airstrike on her home, has tragically lost her life in yet another Israeli attack. The latest assault targeted Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, hitting the maternity ward and claiming Dania's life, as confirmed by Ashraf al-Qudra, the spokesperson for the Gaza Health Ministry.
Dania's past ordeal was marked by the loss of her parents and two siblings, along with the amputation of one of her legs during an airstrike on her residence in the Hope neighborhood of Khan Younis a few weeks prior. In a poignant video circulating earlier, Dania expressed her hopes for the recovery of her amputated leg and an end to the ongoing conflict, recounting the bombing of their home while they were asleep.
A message found with the martyred girl, Dania Abu Mahsen: A message to our beloved President, Uncle Recep Tayyip Erdogan. If this message reaches and spreads, it means I have become a martyr.
"Uncle Erdogan, my name is Dania Abu Mahsen. Israel killed my entire family – my father, mother, and siblings. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I survived after losing my right leg in the bombing. I am deeply saddened by what has happened to me and my family – may Allah have mercy on them. Despite everything, I say Alhamdulillah. Uncle, my hope in you was great. I believed that you would not leave us alone and that you would come to help us. We waited for you eagerly. Unfortunately, you did not come to support us. For us in Gaza, you are the Muslim leader who does not accept injustice and triumphs for Muslims everywhere. Uncle, I am very disappointed and resentful because you did not stand by us. I will complain about you to Allah and complain about you to the Messenger of Allah because you let us down, and you did not support us. Even though you have the power to send your army to help us and stand with us, like America and all the disbelievers who supported Israel. May Allah be sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs." Dania Abu Mahsen
