The Lebanese Telecommunications Ministry announced on Monday that it had begun collecting on unpaid phone bills, warning subscribers that delayed payment would equal disconnection
According to the Daily Star, the outstanding bills for local calls made during the first quarter of 2001 and for international calls made in February, March and April, in addition to any other unpaid bills, should be paid by July 28.
The report did not mention how much subscribers owe the ministry.
A notice issued by the ministry said that “any subscribers who fail to pay their bills will have their line cut starting August 4,” the daily added.
Those who continue to refuse to pay will lose their line, including any deposit or registration fees, on September 28, the statement warned – Albawaba.com
