Lebanon will hold general elections on three successive Sundays from August 20 to September 3, Interior Minister Michel Murr said Tuesday.

Details of the voting procedures will be published next week, Murr said after meeting Prime Minister Salim Hoss.

The single-chamber parliament has 128 seats, divided equally between Muslims and Christians. Elections must be held every four years -- BEIRUT (AFP)
