An attractive shopping season will start in Lebanon in February with the inauguration of 2001’s Shopping and Tourism Festival under the name "Fab Feb,” reported Lebanon.com.
The festival will extends between the beginning of February and mid March.
The festival was announced earlier this week by Minister of Economy and Trade Bassel Fleihan and Tourism Minister Karam Karam, said the website.
The event echoes shopping and tourism festivals in the Gulf states, particularly the UAE and Kuwait; the latter will hold a similar activity in the same month.
Both ministers were quoted as saying that price reductions are expected to reach 50 percent on various commodities and services in a bid to attract Arab and foreign tourists as well as Lebanese shoppers – Albawaba.com
