Lebanon’s Information Ministry has published the publication of studies on “Zionist aggression and its collapse,” which it hopes will serve to inform the world of the consequences of Israel’s occupation of south Lebanon, reported the Daily Star on Thursday.

The publication, announced Wednesday by Information Minister Ghazi Aridi, includes separate studies on subjects related to Israeli aggression in south Lebanon and its consequences.

The aggressive acts addressed include planting mines, carrying out war crimes, taking prisoners, creating Palestinian refugees, stealing water and establishing collaborating militias. The documents also include a photo display on the south’s liberation.

Stressing the media’s role as a fundamental weapon in the Arab-Israeli conflict, Aridi said that there was a serious lack of documentation on the subject.

“This publication is not perfect, but it is a good starting point toward the creation of a real documentation center in Lebanon,” he said.

The nine-part publication, which was prepared by a group of researchers, historians and writers, was written in Arabic but will soon be translated into English and French, he said, cited by the paper.

“We should inform the world about what happened in Lebanon,” Aridi said, adding that the publication could be presented to visiting delegations. In addition, he added, it could also be used by Lebanese groups representing the country at international conventions.
