Lebanese gunmen travelling to Damascus target of roadside bomb

A carbomb that exploded in the Lebanese Bekaa valley was targeting armed gunmen who were travelling to Syria, naharnet.com reported. 

A roadside bomb exploded on Monday morning when the van was the van was passing through the town of Taanayel, in eastern Lebanon. 

Although initial media reports suggested that there were no casualties, security sources said that there were several injuries as a result of the explosion. 

The van was transporting Lebanese gunmen on their journey to fight in Damascus, according to LBCI TV. 

Despite the attack, they continued to the Masnaa border and later entered Syria.
